The Data Cards page can be reached from the Study Overview page by clicking the “Register Data” button.

Review Options

  1. Identify the Type of Card
  • Correlates with “Type of Study Data” selected when registering a study or editing a study.
  • Each type is expected to have pairs of files containing the data and a data dictionary
  • Each type can have multiple cards except for Demographics. Demographics should contain the Demographic information for all the subjects described in the other Data cards using the same subject IDs

2. Identify the Card-specific Information. Each data card has:

  • A unique URL that can be shared
  • A checkbox that is read-only and indicates whether the data was profiled only or whether it was profiled and validated with the quality control (QC) tool. These are the 3 states the data card can be in:
    • If a data profile exists, then it should be filled with a yellow mark
    • If a data profile exists and data was QC-validated, it should be filled with a green check mark
    • If a data has neither a profile nor was was QC-validated, it is unchecked
  • Information obtained through QC:
    • A “File Title” derived from the filename that was uploaded (filename without extension)
    • A Subject Count

3. Identify Type-Specific Information

  • Sequencing Data:
    • Has information obtained through Data Profiling: Subtype which is the Omics Subtype, and Source which is the biological source of the Samples or Specimen
    • Has information obtained through QC: Sample count with the number of Samples or Specimen collected from the Subjects
  • Demographic Data:
    • Has Class information obtained through QC: Age, Race, Ethnicity, Gender
  • General Data:
    • Has Class information obtained through QC: Any classes, up to 4 that were mapped during the ontology mapping process during QC (e.g. Diagnosis, Medications)
