This guide explains how to register your study on the FAIRLYZ platform to share your research and collaborate with others.
How to register a study?
Get Started
Go to your “Researcher Dashboard” using the menu option “Dashboard”. The first time you open it, it will be empty.
From the Researcher Dashboard, click the “Register Study” button.

Complete the following steps in the form:
- Confirm you are authorized: Check the box to confirm you have permission to add the study.
- Study Tagline: Enter a brief, descriptive tagline (up to 100 characters) summarizing your study.
- Study Lifecycle Phase: Select the current phase of your study from the dropdown menu. This selection may affect other form fields.
- Model System(s): Choose all applicable model systems. You can also search for terms and select them, or copy and paste a URL from BioPortal if your term isn’t available. This selection may affect other form fields, e.g. Non-Human Studies cannot be of type Clinical Trial. Example: You may type “Mouse” if your study is non-human and uses mouse as an animal model.
- Type(s) of Study: Choose all applicable study types from the checkbox list. You can also search for terms and select them, or copy and paste a URL from BioPortal if your term isn’t available. This selection may affect other form fields.

- Biological/Anatomical Source of Data (Optional): Enter the biological or anatomical source of your data. You can also search for terms, select them, or copy and paste a URL from BioPortal. This information is required for specific data types, e.g. if your type of data is “Sequencing Data”.
Save your work now, if you will not finish at this time:
- Click “Save” to save the study as “Pending” but not continue with the study registration.
- The study will be marked as “Pending” in your Dashboard and you may finish the registration at some other time.
Continue to the next page:
